I’m an award winning creative leader with 18 years experience producing high-profile work for clients including Audi, BBC, and LEGO. I’ve worked across a wide range of video projects leading creative teams and working hands-on as a producer, editor and director. I'm highly collaborative and have built my career working with a diverse mix of teams in publishing, advertising and software industries.

Background

Over the years, I’ve steadily grown from ​hands-on video production roles to ​leading teams to create content for ​some of the world’s most iconic brands. ​Each step of my 18-year career has ​brought new responsibilities, from ​crafting original editorial series and big ​budget commercials to building an ​award-winning video department from the ​ground up.

 

Now, as Director of Video Production at ​Immediate Media, I oversee creative ​strategy and production for major brands ​like BBC Top Gear and Radio Times. My ​journey has been all about scaling up — ​leading bigger teams, delivering for ​higher-profile clients, and setting new ​creative standards.

Recent experience

Director of Video Production, Immediate Media Co, London Jan ‘23 - Present

I lead all creative video work at Immediate, one of the UK's largest publishers. ​My remit covers delivery of commercial and editorial video for brands including ​BBC Top Gear, Radio Times and BBC Good Food. My primary focus is to ​provide market-leading creative video output, supporting all advertising ​partnerships within the business. This involves leadership and day to day ​management of the in-house video team, along with a network of external ​freelancers and suppliers.

Head of Video, Immediate Media Co, London

Nov ‘13 - Dec ’22

I set up the video operation at Immediate Media Co, building a world-class ​team of in-house video producers, overseeing the construction of a video ​studio and creating a robust set of processes and pipelines for a business ​looking to scale its video output at pace.

Working across editorial, commercial and corporate briefs, I have led and ​managed the video team at Immediate for 10 years, creating a dynamic, ​successful team which has become known for high quality and rapid output.

Senior Video Artist, Zoe Mode Games, Brighton

Jul ‘12 - Oct ’13

Delivering creative marketing video for console games for publishers such as ​Microsoft, Disney and Nintendo. Creating trailers, promos, designing video ​branding, logo stings and shooting documentary footage. The role required an ​expert knowledge of Adobe After Effects, with multiple animation based ​projects forming the core of the workflow.

BIO

My passion for video and filmmaking has been the ​foundation of my career, starting out as a video editor and ​motion graphics designer before moving into live-action ​camera work, lighting and directing talent. Over time, I’ve ​evolved into a strategic leader, guiding multi-disciplinary ​teams through complex video briefs in a corporate ​environment. I’m experienced in writing treatments, ​scoping work, managing resources, and balancing ​stakeholder needs—all while keeping an eye on budgets ​and KPIs. Whether it’s a creative challenge or a technical ​one, my focus is always on delivering video content that ​exceeds expectations and achieves meaningful results.

Vauxhall Astra

Family Hatch of the Year

Filmed at Calvert Studios, this Vauxhall ad was a pleasure to direct, utilising a state of the art, fully dynamic LED lighting ​rig. The ad delivered in a variety of crops and lengths, featured on Vauxhall channels and BBC Top Gear.com.

SEAT

Secret Behind The Magic

One of a series of 3x 30 sec online ads promoting ​various features of the new SEAT Ateca. An ​exciting challenge to direct a young cast and find ​the magic within the features of the car.

How To Create An Edible Garden

A series of ads created for Cuprinol, promoting their Ducksback range of garden paints. Ads were featured across a range of social formats promoted by Gardeners’ World.com.
